WITCHUNT / PROJECT STATEMENT
2008-2010
Landscapes, primarily devoid of human presence, are sites from which her myth emerges; clues to her presence are in the residues of nature-based rituals and the conflict between Appolonian structures and their decay. Within the tenemos of wildness and shadowed architecture, we find her in a mysterious, abstract, state of being.
This series began at the Jeffers Tree Farm in Appalachian Ohio, with the aid of the Harold Arts Residency of Chicago, and continued in Upstate New York.
