A new large scale site-specific installation, HUCK FINN RAFT ALTAR, is part of the Wassaic Project 2012 exhibition. Preview benefit for the Wassaic Project will be held at the exhibition on Saturday, June 16 from 5-8pm with honored guest speaker, P.S. 1 MoMA Contemporary Art Center founder and former director, Alanna Heiss.

“The fifth annual Summer Exhibition, “Return to Rattlesnake Mountain,” features the work of over 100 emerging artists in our historic Maxon Mills building. The core of the exhibition is comprised of our Artists in Residence from the past season, 2011-2012. We are incredibly proud to present the work that they created while working in Wassaic and beyond, complemented by some of the best emerging artists working today.
This year’s Summer Exhibition guest jurors are Kat Cohn, co-founder of AD Projects, Jessica Wallen, an independent curator, and Max Bode, an illustrator, artist and former art director at the New Yorker.”
